5. Lily Allen, The Fear…I think I love the video (great cinematography!) more than the song…but it grows on you and then, its stuck!

4. Coolio, Gansta’s Paradise….need I say more?

3. MIA, Paper Planes or anything for that matter by this genius!!

2. The Distillers, The Hunger. Awaiting Brodie’s new release…I have been having a great moment of nostalgia.

1.  Santigold, the new MIA. Hot hot! My Superman.

In between his hilarious stories, he manages not only to do your hair and makeup perfectly, but to treat you like a queen. Maria has a heart of gold. Her talents are exquisite and her personality  lights up a room. And she is Irish to boot, so much fun!!

5. Chrissy Field or Ocean Beach. There’s nothing better than waking up to sunshine in SF. And one of my fave spots to do so is the ocean with my pup, Blaze.

4. Zeigeist, Motto: “Hangovers installed and serviced!”  Love that! This killer hole in the wall brings everyone together on a warm summer night over community picnic benches, good grill food, and lots of fun drink specials. The best people watching in the city.

3. Dolores Park, Start at gorgeous Tartine Bakery for an amazing breakfast, grab some champagne and fresh Oj at Bi-Rite , & head with blanket to Dolores for a long day of crazy fun people, music, and entertainment galore! And last stop, back to Bi-Rite’s Creamery  for a totally organic lick of ice-cream.

2. Stern Grove and Park Chalet go hand in hand. Stern Grove, all day free concerts in gorgeous Golden Gate includes world music from the San Francisco Symphony and Bollywood Superstar Kailash Kher. Afterwards, take your group to Park Chalet ( a hidden local gem) on Hwy 1, for more live entertainment, dog-time, bbques behind the too trafficked and touristy Beach Chalet.

1. Farmer’s Market at the Ferry Building and Boulette’s Larder. I am almost scared to give this secret gem away! We all know how amazing the Farmer’s Market is… However on the backside of the Ferry, sits the most wonderful epicurie. A menu made from the finest & freshest ingredients daily, each experience I have is more exotic and refined than the last- unusual, innovative, and pure. With a view of the Bay Bridge, a pet friendly staff, and the Wine Merchant at your disposal…nothing rates better!

5. American Rag on La Brea and Wasteland on Melrose. Being that I went to school in LA, I was well versed at the time in vintage and cheap, cheap, cheap for the pocketbook. The staples remain true and still as hot as ever.

4. The Painted Bird, San Francisco. Of course its cools, its in the Mission. But this place is truly great for the unique and the stylish.

3 Cherry Boutique, Modern Vintage like Pucci and Laurent. Resurrection, amazing collections and exhibitions from Vivienne Westwood, Gucci and the like. Both in NYC.

2. Crossroads Trading Co.,  I figure the buys are great, as I know I have sold a few of my best duds there. And with this economy, knowing you can shed a few of your best designer pieces for some decent dollars is huge!

1. Venus and Mars Vintage, The showroom is the dream child of Jack White’s ultra cool wife, model Karen Elson. I haven’t been there yet, but I suspect this Nashville treasure is one in a million,  totally reflective of the her eccentric and beautiful tastes.

5. Don’t register for things you don’t need. Your wedding could be an amazing opportunity to have your guests give to fave charity in your name.

4. Stay local. I know the destination thing is glorious, but having your guests minimize their drive or flight makes all the difference. Plus, you support local businesses in your community!

3. Yes, a diamond is a girl’s best friend (?), but opt for something more unusual. Gold Mining is a dirty business, production on one gold band generates 20 tons of waste. Look for conflict-free gems, like recycled diamonds from your beloved grandma.

2. Lovely hand-made favors,  home baked vegan cookies or a found vintage charm necklace.

1. The list goes on, check out Style Unveiled and their amazing 101 ways to make a wedding eco-chic. Kudos SU!!

5. Find hotel venues that are Green Seal certified: venues committed to saving water & energy, reducing waste, and serving locally grown/organic menus. Hotel Triton or Bear Flag Farm.

4. Print your beautiful invitations on alternative earth friendly choice paper such as hemp, bamboo, recycled paper. And splurge on calligraphy to omit toners, solvents and chemicals, Barbara Callow.

3. Use candlelight, perfect ambiance for elegance and romance. Better yet, soy candles for cleaner and long lasting burn.

2. Farm to table caterers or farmers. Amazing talents such as Living Room Events or  farmers markets, farms, and other resources.

1.  Find your incredible designer dress (worn only once) for a bargain price at PreownedWeddingDresses.com. And after your wedding, donate your dress to the second hand world. And if that’s not your gig, go couture as the gowns are made from natural fibers.

4.  Aurelie Bidermann: Goddess of cuffs, always inspiring & revolutionary.

3.  Iosselliani: Leopard Rhinestone head, cluster silver and gold strands, melded crystal.

2.  Subversive: Punky, humorous, and out of control-chains, safety pins, plastic balls.

1.  Alexis Bittar: Resin & lucite beauty in bright magical colors. Always with the rhinestone bling.

The Sentimental Fave… Irene Neuwirth: Quirky, original, sophisticated, the designer of my wedding ring!
