I just love when I get to see a family bloom and blossom, and grow bigger and happier through the years. Having the continuous relationships is most definitely the best part of my job. And my heart melted when Finn (the oldest brother) gave me a big hug when I got to Cavallo to meet Shawn, Gino, Finn and their newest addition James for this year’s family shoot. I hadn’t seen Finn since he was James’ age, a little baby. Even with the typical gloomy summer San Francisco weather, we had an exceptional day out at this gorgeous spot and the kids were totally adorable. Love this family! And I love the action baseball pics at the end of this post.
Jill, Brian, and Henry are new clients on mine. After a postponement in February due to rain, I was thrilled to have the most gorgeous day for them booked for March. And Cavallo Point makes for a stunning background on any day. But on a sunny day… it is magical. Henry was a blast to photograph and he was up for the full adventure until our last stop at the mustard field. While I was gaga about the setting, Henry was not so happy we plopped him down amongst the flowers. Maybe it was too girly for him? We needed a little more mud and rocks for the boy.
I love this wedding! I love this couple! And I am so honored to have it featured today on Style Me Pretty and to kick start a brand new 2011 season. Lori+Chris is hands down one of the most emotional weddings I have photographed. The moment when they saw each other for the first time under our gorgeous Golden Gate at Cavallo Point was priceless. There was not a dry eye amongst any of us. And Jess and I were just trying to keep it together for the shooting part. Although SMP showcases a lot of the tremendous color and detail photos today, I wanted to show you the more emotional and heart driven stuff. Enjoy.
