As you know, I absolutely love shooting at City Hall. Not only is it one of the most beautiful buildings in the city (or anywhere for that matter!)…but I love that on any given day, you are witness to not just one beautiful union but handfuls. It is truly inspiring to see so many happy and fulfilled faces. Nikki+Joe, my adorable couple from my last post, brought their family and friends together in a gorgeous and super sentimental ceremony on June 3, 2010. I loved that they incorporated their three kids into the ceremony and the “couple” photos afterward. And there wasn’t a dry eye in the place!
I was fortunate and honored to photograph one of my best friend’s weddings last month. Jen, who married her “match made in heaven” Mark had not only one wedding, but two! The fabulous couple’s first wedding, an intimate ceremony at their gorgeous Rockridge home, will be featured on the adorable blog Wedding Chicks. Stay tuned for their beautiful story and photographs. And here is the second, a super fun “elopement” officiated by Gavin himself at good old City Hall. Here are the images from their fantastic afternoon..Love you guys!
Melissa and Brano’s wedding was pure class. I loved everything about it… from the amazing vendors that contributed to the day, to the details, the site destinations, and most of all, the couple. M&B are two of the most wonderful people I have had the pleasure of working with. Thanks to Jeffra for celebrating this wonderful day on Wedding Wire today.
Maya and Jon met in college. One class turned into a long ongoing crush. It wasn’t until they met up again a few years after graduation, that Jon’s persistence finally broke Maya down and she agreed to go out with him. From there, this little crush turned into a full fledged love affair.
But the love story did not end there, as Jon’s career aspirations brought him from LA to Northern California alone. Three years went by and finally Maya joined him. Once together again, they could not wait to start a new chapter in their lives. Their union was made official on May 1st, 2009.
The ceremony was intimate and emotional. With a small group of their favorite supporters, family and friends, they got married in the perfect low-key ceremony in the most regal and beautiful buildings in San Francisco. Their celebration continued on the romantic island of Bora Bora. They found paradise watching sunrises and sunsets from their water bungalow deck, overlooking a perfect azure lagoon.

Melissa & Brano came to me via Melissa Panico of Map Events, the wonderful planner responsible for the coordination of this gorgeous & elegant celebration. M&B, a fabulous couple, so in love and happy together, were so easy to work with, so much fun, and totally open to my ideas and suggestions for coverage.
The wedding was designed by the oh-so talented, Katherine Oliver of Cherries Flowers. Her work is an exquisite combination of white peonies and lilacs, rose petals, centerpieces wrapped in Shantung silk fabric, and candlelight to create the romantic environment. The vendor list for M&B’s wedding was incredible…the makeup and hair by Jim Avila, the invitations by A Day in May, the calligraphy by Barbara Callow, the food by McCalls, the cake by Butterfly, the dress by Jin Wang, and the band Keith Johnson’s All Stars. So fabulous!
