Jen and Mark have kept me very busy this year. First with a gorgeous wedding at home last April, a civil ceremony at City Hall with Mr. Gavin Newsom himself, and this year with the beautiful addition of their son Drake…a sweet addition to their already beautiful family. It was a ball photographing the family in their soon-to-be left digs. Yes, they just bought a new home too. And while Jen and I always have a blast collaborating on fun, somewhat silly pics…Mark (Conor and Allie) were just as playful and joined right in.

What an honor it was to photograph the beautiful and savvy Rosalynn Carter on her visit to the wonderful non-profit corporation Telecare. Telecare has been committed to making a difference in the lives of people with serious mental illness since 1965. It is an amazing group of individuals with incredible heart and commitment. And so Rosalynn, a long time champion of mental right causes, visit to speak with the Telecare employees was more than fitting. Rosalynn has just released a new book on mental health in her 83 year. She is passionate, bright, beautiful, and inspiring. It was a joy to hear her speak and extremely educational.
I met Tess+Kevin through their adorable daughter Maria. She was my Rabbit in the Hole Contest Winner via FB. Such a sweet, adorable couple, I was thrilled when they asked me to join them for their 25th wedding anniversary and renewal of their vows. To see such beautiful love after all of these years, just warms my heart. The wedding was an amazing party of family and friends. And now, I have a wait a bit, but I am keeping my fingers crossed that I will be photographing Maria’s wedding in 2012 again with this fantastic and fun family.
I met Grace through my friend Tina, the very talented and amazing gal behind Bear Flag Farm. This is the beautiful wedding site that Karli+Nick married last September in Winters. Grace has several different catering companies, all of which, are dedicated to a sustainable philosophy. And so, Tina and Grace have collaborated on many events at BFF. Surprisingly, I have been loving the food shoots lately. Especially, with my stunning D3 (Yes, I said it…a digital! This is the only situation I ooh & ahh over digital!). And it was so fun to collaborate with Tina on the beautiful vignettes. Oh and Grace has an adorable cafe, The Mixing Bowl, on hip Telegraph in Oakland… you must stop by for “the world’s best chocolate chip cookies “!
