After waking to yet another fun, foggy, raining, whatever SF day…I was glad to have an excuse to venture to the East Bay for some lovely sun! And I got a lovely family as well. The Davis Family won my package via an auction at the latest Wine, Women, and Shoes event. I was honored to have them bid on my services, and as well, fortunate for the beautiful family I was to meet. Jenny, Jack, Avery and Chase were delightful and fun in every way. Jenny came totally prepped with toys, props, candy, the works… and with an enthusiastic husband in Jack, the kids were a ball of energy, excitement, and laughs. I will look forward to our next shoot. And hoping our summer will finally kick in so the Davis family can have their holidays shots in gorgeous SF this fall.
Welcome to my new site and blog. I am very proud of this Labor of Love. It seemed all too appropriate to launch my new look on the week of Valentine’s Day. Yes, photography is my total love and LOVE is what my work is all about.
Speaking of love, I could not do any of the work I do without my beautiful and amazing team. In light of my new look, an introduction to the gals behind Zoom seemed perfectly timed. Meet Jessica and Megan…and of course, me.
Jessica, my second shooter, is a ball of energy. Besides the fact that everywhere we go, people literally want to STEAL her from me (due to her incomparable zest and service), she is a beautiful photographer and a great friend. I feel so fortunate to have her on my team. And no, you can’t have her!
Megan, came to me two years ago and I have been so lucky for it. She has a great knowledge of photography, enthusiasm about her craft, and she is willing and able to learn. She has been rock solid as my assistant and Megan doesn’t even complain about my 200lb bag!
Last, I will forever be thanking my unbelievable team at Spitfiregirl Design; Heidi Yarger, Otis McCort and Jet Villaflor. You are too good. Thank you! And enjoy the journal.
Today marks the official launch of Zoom’s new site. What started as an inspiration board of colorful cut-out photos, scribbles & text of the deepest color purple, exotic and beautiful butterflies, gothic chanteliers, python textures, and black ink sketches; was conceptualized and brought to life by my dear friends, “The Brads”, Brad Lande and Bradley Thompson of Miraclelabb. And their wonderful team of support, designers, and programmers: Austin, Ian, and Jamison.
If you don’t know them yet, you will. They are innovators in their field. They take each company from the ground up from conception to actualization. Through an “open platform” team structure, they are able to find the most perfectly suited people (or talents I should say) for the particulars of each client. And most importantly, they are a blast to collaborate with.
